The NCCMP strives to produce quality publications for our members and people who want to learn more about us. Our main publications are our Annual Reports, our brochures and our annual Legislative Highlights. The brochures will be of particular interest to those of you who want to learn more about us.
We are providing our publications for you in PDF format. To view and print PDF files, you must have the Acrobat Reader®. Most of you probably already have it on your computer. It is a free program, so if you need to download it, see the box in the lower right corner of this window.
What Is The NCCMP?
The National Coordinating Committee for Multiemployer Plans (NCCMP) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization. It was incorporated in 1974 as a "social welfare organization" under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code for the purpose of advocating on behalf of the nation's jointly-managed, multiemployer benefit plans which are established pursuant to collectively-bargaining agreements, in dealing on their behalf with the United States Congress, federal courts and federal agencies with jurisdiction over employee benefit plans.
It remains the only national organization devoted exclusively to protecting the interests of the nearly ten million active and retired workers and their dependents who depend on multiemployer defined benefit pension plans for retirement income, and the approximately twenty-six million workers, retirees, and their families who rely on multiemployer health and welfare benefit plans for health, pension and other benefits.
What is Its Mission?
Its mission is to assure an environment in which multiemployer plans can continue their vital role in providing benefits to working men and women. The NCCMP represents the interests of thousands of plans with members in every major segment of the multiemployer plan universe, including in the airline, building and construction, entertainment, food (production, distribution and retail sales), health care, hospitality, industrial fabrication, longshore, mining, maritime, professional and other services, textile, and trucking industries.
Good Reason #7 to Join the NCCMP
Fair is fair. Unfortunately, while the NCCMP speaks for all multiemployer plans, only a minority are duespaying members. If we all benefit from our association, we must all do our part to support it. Without your help, we will be unable to sustain the efforts necessary to represent our plans when such efforts are needed most.
